DIY Emergency Ventilator

Amidt’s the worlds largest ventilator shortage in history & while most Americans were encouraged to not leave their homes due to the pandemic I was curious to see if it was possible to build one using only things you can find at home. Inspired by a scene in the Apollo 13 movie where astronauts had to build a lifesaving air filter canister using only parts onboard the space module, I too was curious if it could hypothetically be possible to build a lifesaving ventilator as a last resort using only parts from home. This was the design I came up with:
